Arrival of the season

Here is the information on the arrival of the season:

  • "end" of the PTR week of February 7 to 13
  • new PTR to test seasonal features
  • then end of this new PTR, supposed date until the end of February
  •  start of season, date assumed mid-March

PTR Changes

Here are the changes that have taken place on this PTR:

  • Barbarian - Battlecry costs less mana
  • Druid - Metamorphosis, reinstated the old speed calculation, in combination with the new, the better of the two will be the attack speed
  • Druid - Crows hits less hard and lasts longer
  • Paladin - auras no longer do 100-200% damage the closer you are
  • Paladin - Holy Fire nerf roughly XNUMX/XNUMX less damage
  • Sorcerer - Hydra nerf, 5-3% synergies for Fire Blast and Fireball
  • Others - possibly 500 arrows max and 50% more throwing weapon quantity

Attention, since it is a PTR, there will most likely be changes!

Amazon

Here's what you need to remember from Amazon:

  • Impale still hits, slows the enemy and can no longer be interrupted
  • Knock back at doubled attack speed
  • More Lightning Strike, Ball Lightning, Lightning Strike synergy with Fury Lightning, to offset other synergies increased from 10 to 14% or 8 to 11%. So less points are needed for the Javazone!
  • Scourge Javelin changed from 4 to 1 second cooldown and increased its synergy from 10 to 14%, poison does damage over 3 seconds. Scourge Javelin can finally be interesting!
  • Inner Vision and Slow Projectiles have their radius increased by 35%, and Slow Projectiles decreases the damage dealt by them. The slowdown is also proportional to the level. Very interesting for leveling!
  • Dodging and dodging no longer prevent performing other actions; very good news!
  • Improved Stun Arrow, Magic Arrow, Smart Bolt, Flurry, Fire Arrow, Explosive Arrow, Immolation Bolt. The improvements do not really change the game, except Rafale which becomes even more powerful

Assassin

Here's what you should take away from the Assassin:

  • Increased attack rating of Fists of Fire, Thunderclaws, Ice Blades, Tiger Strike, Cobra Strike, Phoenix Strike, 15-25% base, 7-10% per level
  • Each combo release via Dragon's Talon, Dragon's Claw, Dragon's Tail, and Dragon's Flight only consumes one charge, and only hits if you have an available charge. Improved the damage of Dragon's Claw, Dragon's Tail, Dragon's Flight. Suffice to say that the Martial Arts Assassin will roll over enemies even more!
  • Transparency finally displays reduced damage, Venom lasts longer.
  • Shadow Warrior and Shadow Master cast time reduced to 0,6 seconds (was 6 seconds)
  • More Electric Field, Electric Sentinel, and Lightning Sentinel synergy with Death Sentinel, offset by improved synergies. Less points needed for the Assassin Trap!
  • The same goes for Searing Wake, which also receives a damage buff. Wake of Fire also receives a damage buff.
  • Blade Sentinel revamped, hits faster, more damage, two synergies with Saber Dance and Blade Shield! Same for Blade Shield and Saber Dance! The Ninja Assassin is going to be even stronger!

Barbarian

Here is what you should remember from the Barbarian:

  • Warcry does more damage (30%) and Battle Command lasts longer in base. Frightening Guardian slows enemies and increases their damage taken, synergizes with Find a Potion. Scary Guardian can come in very handy now
  • Mastery of Throwing allows you to pierce
  • Leap jumps further and goes 75% faster. Jump Attack also goes faster, hits harder, aims better, and synergizes with Bond. Watch out, PvP players!
  • Double Throw has 16% more base damage and 8% per level, big up!

Druid

Here is what you should remember from the Druid:

  • Molten Rock has less cooldown and hits faster, slight damage up, same for Volcan which hits a little harder
  • Armageddon no longer has a cast time and has a lot more physical damage
  • Arctic Blast has more damage and is easier to use
  • Hurricane and Hurricane armor usable as Wolf or Bear
  • Cyclone can stun with Arctic Blast synergy
  • Rage aims a little better and does more poison damage. Fury aims better
  • Truncheon hits harder and aims better, better synergy with Shockwave
  • Fire Claws takes 75% damage but loses synergies, need less skill points!
  • Oak Sage, Heart of Serval, and Vengeful Spirit resist 25% physical damage on all difficulties. Vengeful Spirit always returns the same damage value, rather than a percentage of the damage received
  • Crows hits much harder and has three new synergies
  • Spirit of the Wolf freezes, hits harder and has more life. Ferocious Wolf hits harder and has more life and Grizzly has more life
  • Poison Ivy has more damage and synergizes with Rage

Necromancer

Here is what you should remember from the Necromancer:

  • Skeleton Mage has more life and damage types are balanced
  • Blood Golem hits harder, Iron Golem returns a fixed thorn damage and Fire Golem doubles its Holy Fire level per level
  • Bone Armor absorbs better, Bone Spear and Bone Spirit receive 4% and 8% damage per level (outch!)
  • Weaken reduces damage by 33% to 33% + +1% per level

Paladin

Here's what you should take away from the Paladin:

  • Damage auras do 100% to 200% damage based on distance, 200% for melee enemies. Sacred Fire gets a big up, to put it on par with Sacred Shock.
  • Thorn returns a fixed damage instead of a percentage of the damage received
  • Sacrifice decreases damage inflicted on self by 8 to 1%, Conversion increases its chance to convert to 90%.
  • Holy Bolt increases its damage, loses its synergy with Blessed Hammer, synergizes better with Prayer and pierces its target.
  • Fist of the Heavens has its cooldown reduced (1 to 0,4 seconds), watch out for PvP!

sorcerer

Here is what you should remember from the sorcerer:

  • Armors are slightly different and increased Frost Nova damage
  • Nova synergizes with Electrostatic Field
  • Storm lasts longer and synergizes with Electrostatic Field
  • The synergy of Energy Shield with Telekinesis is displayed (finally!)
  • Inferno receives increased damage, synergies and range
  • Blaze hits harder, increases your movement speed and loses its synergy with Wall of Flames
  • Hydra no longer has a cooldown, and gains 2% x 40 damage via synergies! Max 6 Hydras

Mercenary

Here's what you need to remember about mercenaries:

  • Leveling stats are balanced
  • Act 1: addition of Paralyzing Arrow (Cold) and Explosive Arrow (Fire), blah blah
  • Act 2: 6 mercenaries to choose from but only Nightmare or Hell, not changed to Normal
  • Act 3: more life, defense and resistance
    • Cold: more often Ice Spikes, more damage and better Ice armor
    • Fire: Inferno replaced by Fire Bolt, more chance to cast Fireball, can enchant nearby allies
    • Lightning: Electrostatic Field gain, more Lightning Bolt damage, more chance to cast Lightning
    • interesting, but also not "Game Breaker"
  • Act 5: more health, and can use Battle Cry! A True Second Choice Mercenary

Runic Words

Here is what you should remember from the runic words:

  • Spirituality can be done on Bow and Crossbows
  • 7 new runic words

Set Items

Here's what you should remember from set items:

  • Possibility to improve the sets:
    • Ral + Sol + Perfect Emerald = Exceptional Set Weapon
    • Lum + Pul + Perfect Emerald = elite set weapon
    • Tal + Shael + Perfect Diamond = Exceptional Set Armor
    • Ko + Lem + Perfect Diamond = elite set armor
  • Without changing the game, the sets have been improved, especially when you have the complete set. It's the case for :
    • Towers of Arcanna, Arctic Garb, Children of Bul-Khatos, Traps of Cathan, Vestments of Civerb, Leather of the Cow King, Infernal Instruments, Finery of Iratha, Garb of Milabrega, Ancient Vestige of Naj, Great Tribute of Sazabi, Vidala costume
    • These are still leveling sets, except Bul-Kathos (damage and sustain), Vestige (Fire skills, MF, life) and Sazabi (skill, reduced damage) which can be interesting!

Zone level

Here are the new levels of the zones, they all go to level 85 in Hell!

  • Act 1, Level 2 Underground Passage
  • Act 2, Stone Tomb level 1 and 2
  • Act 3, Lair of the Arachnid, Quagmire level 1, 2 and 3, Abandoned Shrine, Ruined Temple, Forgotten Reliquary, Sewer level 1

Quality of life

Here are some quality of life improvements:

  • Blocking no longer prevents casting a spell
  • You can no longer get stuck in PvP due to FHR
  • Boxes are clearer, for example Puncture Attack becomes x% Puncture Attack
